A queer look at Kallio and film

In honour of Pride week, special guided tours at the Villa Hakasalmi’s exhibition ‘Streets of Crime and Love’ will be held. They provide a new perspective on films and television dramas set in Helsinki beyond the long bridge. Queer film expert Marjo Pipinen examines the image of the life in fictional Kallio they portray. Can films and their characters be seen in a different light?
