Christmas beyond tradition

On the first Sunday of Advent, Oopperastudio Luova will perform festive music from the 16th to the 18th century, including compositions and ensemble singing pieces by Barbara Strozzi, Henry VIII, J. S. Bach and G. F. Händel. The collective, established in spring 2024, includes students from the classical music instrument and vocal teaching programme at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences: singers Iida Hirvola, Kirsi Leutonen, Jaana Rautonen, Tomi Andersson, Reetta Sariola and Olga Harrison; violinist Helmi Niemelä; flautist Taimi Lajunen and harpsichordists Katarina Katris and Elise Heino.

Included in the price of admission, no separate fee.
