Cinema Classics

The programme of this matinee by Linda Hedlund, Olli-Pekka Tuomisalo and Risto-Matti Marin consists of original film music composed for the saxophone or the violin. The most famous of these pieces are Franz Waxman’s Oscar-winning score for the 1951 film A Place in the Sun, Bernard Herrmann’s Taxi Driver and John Williams’s magnificent Catch Me if You Can and Schindler’s List.
