Helsinki 475 jubilee picnic

This year marks the 475th anniversary of the founding of Helsinki. The City Museum will celebrate the jubilee year by hosting a historical picnic on Helsinki Day in the garden of Villa Hakasalmi. The residents of past centuries’ Helsinki will come alive and arrive in their handsome costumes to enjoy delicacies from their era under canopies while music is playing in the background. The public is welcome to participate in the picnic by bringing their own snacks and enjoy the summer in the heart of Helsinki.

If it rains, the picnic will be held inside the museum. There will be free admission to the event and the Glamour and Curtsy exhibition in Villa Hakasalmi to celebrate Helsinki Day.
