Kirsi Vainio-Korhonen, Anu Lahtinen, Eeva Kotioja, and Maria Vainio-Kurtakko discuss manor life and its development in the 19th century.
Sat 22 Feb at 13:00–16:00 The Legacy of Manors
Johanna Ilmakunnas, Katja Weiland-Särmälä, Ranja Hautamäki, and Antti Nyman shed light on topics such as the identity of Helsinki’s manors and the transformation of the Håkansböle Manor into a home museum by 2026.
Sat 22 Mar at 13:00–16:00 Imagined Manors
Tiina Miettinen, Kirsi Manninen, and Juha Seitajärvi explore how the real histories of Finnish manors and their residents intertwine with imagined narratives in popular novels and films.
Enjoy manor-themed literature selected and read by librarians from Oodi Library. Bring your own knitting project, use the tools provided, or simply relax and enjoy. Explore a wider selection of related books in the exhibition at Oodi Library, conveniently located next to the Villa Hakasalmi. Reading circles are in Finnish.

Every Sunday from 14:00 to 15:00, diverse music fills the upper hall. On the last Friday of each month and on Mother’s Day (May 11), enjoy free admission to the villa from 11:00–17:00. Tickets for the Glitter and Curtsy exhibition are €16/11. Free entry with Museum Card.
