Behind the scenes at the museum: From an idea to an exhibition – how a photo exhibition is put together
On Saturday 30 September, the public will have an opportunity to visit in advance at the A Glimpse of Helsinki – Volker von Bonin’s photos exhibition. Tuomas Myrén, intendant of the photographic collections of the Helsinki City Museum and producer of the exhibition, tells about the planning and research work related to the exhibition and publication as well as building the exhibition. In addition, the visitors are introduced to the challenging digitisation of old photographs by media assistant Harri Tahvanainen. The event is part of the 100th anniversary celebration of the Finnish Museum Association,
As Villa Hakasalmi is still closed and the exhibition is still under construction on the day of the event, attendance is only possible by advance booking.
