Chopin Nocturne – music and poems from the dark of the night

On a February afternoon, pianist Sonja Fräki plays the delicate piano compositions by Fryderyk Chopin and her own poems related to them. The concert draws a human picture of the Polish composer, considered the ‘poet of the piano,’ whose glamorous life in Parisian high society in the 1830s was shadowed by physical illness and his constant homesickness for Poland.
