Christmas beyond tradition

Oopperastudio Luova brings love and warmth to the freezing cold winter and to the Christmas hustle and bustle by performing music appropriate for the Christmas season, with works spanning from the Middle Ages to the 18th century. The programme includes evergreens from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, rarely performed spiritual songs by Barbara Strozzi, songs composed by King Henry VIII, 14th-century madrigals and jovial ensembles in the Piae Cantiones style. The matinee will star long-standing singers and instrumentalists from Oopperastudio Luova, who are either music students at institutions of higher education or professionals who have already graduated. The instrumental ensemble features a piano, a kantele and a harp.
The concert is included in the price of admission (€16/11), no separate fee. We accept the Museum Card.
