Club Dekadenz Lite

As the autumn evening darkens, the Helsinki by Night exhibition at Villa Hakasalmi Hakasalmi invites you to immerse yourself in the nocturnal world of young Helsinki citizens more than four decades ago. This nostalgic club event brings to life the pulsating energy and dreamlike romantic atmosphere of Stefan Bremer’s photographs. DJ Avalon (of Club Anvil) will spin the rebellious club sounds of the era, calling everyone to dance in the villa’s grand hall, while performing artists embody the strangely beautiful figures from the photos right before our eyes.

Visitors are welcome to join the time travel in style: hairdressers will offer free party makeovers inspired by Rockabilly, Teddy Boy, or Punk looks. Café Rakastan will set up an 80s-style cocktail bar where you cun purchase refreshing drinks. Put on some glitter and head to the museum before continuing your pre-Christmas celebrations!
