Fashion from the past decades
Welcome to a unique fashion show. Dress in 1950s–70s style – the best costume will be rewarded! Free admission for all.
Fashion was one of photographer Volker von Bonin’s favourite subjects, and he had a long career as a creative fashion photographer in Eeva magazine in from the 1950s until 1970s. In memory of this, you will get acquainted with the fashion spectrum of these decades in a rare fashion show arranged at Hakasalmi Villa at 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm and 4 pm, where you will see authentic old costumes.
Between the shows, you can learn about vintage hobbies, craft a pocket mirror in a workshop and look for the fashion phenomena of the past in the photos in the exhibition. The audience is also welcome to dress in the style of the 1950s–70s, and the best costume will be rewarded. In honour of the International Museum Day, the admission to the museum is free from 11 am to 5 pm.
