Historical Disco

Back by popular demand, we will dance through the ages of Helsinki’s discos once again in the Hakasalmi hall. Gifted dancer Kimmo Luukkonen, who enchanted audiences at the dance lessons given at the Music! exhibition, will lead visitors through the hottest new moves of each decade. DJ Mikko Mattlar from Radio Helsinki will play disco hits from different time periods and tell visitors about the development of disco culture in Helsinki from the 1960s to the 1980s based on his new book on the subject.
