Kallio on film 1920–2020
In this lecture event, related to the exhibitoin Streets of Crime and Love, top film historians examine the image portrayed of the part of Helsinki north of Pitkäsilta bridge in films and TV dramas from the 1920s to the present day.
Implemented in collaboration with Helsinki Summer University, these PSA lectures focus on topics such as the portrayal of youth and out-of-towners, as well as criminals and substance abusers, and how Kallio is turned into a bohemian romantic millennial utopia.
