Songs of Independence

The Songs of Independence tour started at Villa Hakasalmi on New Year’s Eve, and there it shall end in December. The joyous singalong event is based on memories from the audience, and tells the tales of Finland through beloved songs. The event will be hosted by researcher Jere Jäppinen of the City Museum and featured are songs from 1917 to the present, including a range of genres from march to rock. The songs are accompanied by talented young musicians from the Metropolia School of Applied Sciences. In Finnish. Free entry.
