50 years of non-conformity on the streets of Helsinki

Fifty years ago, punk scared decision-makers, annoyed neighbours and fired up an entire generation. From the margins arose a racket that upset the rules, smashed music and gave permission to do it all yourself, louder and faster. Today, punk culture lives on and the grassroots buzz is still active.
The norms will fall when the Punk Museum takes over Villa Hakasalmi in October 2026. The exhibition celebrating 50 years of punk in Helsinki gets in your face with sweaty gigs, tattered posters and a wall of sound that will not be silenced. The past screams, the present responds and the future calls you to take part too.
